Have a Happy Fourth and Bring your Pet’s Inside! Also, LifeLine Animal Project Invites You to Help Shelter Animals Celebrate their Independence Day!
More people lose their pets on the Fourth of July than any other time of the year. One reason is because dogs and cats hear more acutely than we do. So the deafening noise combined with the bright flashes of light send most animals into panic mode, and they run for their lives. Don’t risk losing them! Keep your pets safe tonight by bringing them inside before fireworks start.
If you’re ready to adopt a pet, LifeLine Animal Project invites you to give our Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS) dogs and cats their independence by offering special adoption rates. For the entire month of July all dogs may be adopted for only $30 and cats for only $17.76! Adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $200 value. Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.
LifeLine’s FCAS Pets of the Week: Yola and Mina
Meet Yola, a very special five-year-old girl, who has been at FCAS for over a year and has won over the hearts of employees. Yola is a happy, loving, obedient and fantastic dog! She’s a little chunky from too many treats and too little activity, but will easily lose weight when she is more active. She currently lives in the kennel manager's office, but is ready to move on to bigger and better things. Although the staff adores Yola and calls her a superstar, they agree that it’s time she had a family and home of her own. They say that whoever adopts sweet Yola will be very lucky. Come help Yola gain her independence for an adoption fee of only $30!
