Help Cypress Street Pint & Plate "Kick the Cask" for The Giving Kitchen
Featuring a Rare Cask of SweetWater Brewing Company's Limited Edition Third Helping IPA

Tomorrow evening, Cypress Street Pint and Plate will be partnering with SweetWater Brewing Company for a great cause during a special “Kick the Cask” edition of its popular Beer Geek Tuesday. Benefiting The Giving Kitchen, a local non-profit dedicated to assisting restaurant industry workers who have experienced unanticipated emergencies and hardships, Cypress Street is just one of just four places in the world to have this limited edition cask of SweetWater’s Third Helping IPA and will be tapping it during this high-energy, philanthropic event.
Beginning at 7 p.m. sharp, Cypress Street is running a “Kick the Cask” promotion. If the entire contents of the Third Helping IPA cask are sold within 45 minutes or less of it being tapped, Cypress Street will donate $500 to The Giving Kitchen. Additionally, Chef Matt Deckard will be creating a dinner special to be paired with SweetWater’s Second Helping IPA (also a a limited edition release brewed with juniper berries and with 100% of its profits going to The Giving Kitchen). Cypress Street will also donate a percent of sales from the evening along with a portion of sales from each dinner special sold to The Giving Kitchen.

Billy and Jenn Streck moved to Atlanta from the East Village in Manhattan to pursue their dream in opening a neighborhood pub and to start their new family. In 2007, the duo teamed up with some local pals and opened Cypress Street Pint and Plate in the heart of Midtown behind the historic Biltmore on the corner of 6th Street and Cypress Street (817 West Peachtree, Suite E-125, Atlanta, Georgia). A throwback to when the drinks were always cold, the food was always hot, and the bar-staff knew your name, Cypress has become a longstanding neighborhood favorite. Known for its beer program led by Rob “BrewRu” Merrick, Cypress has fourteen beers on tap, forty bottled selections, a beer cellar, and hosts “Beer Geek Tuesday” each week for the craft beer enthusiast.
