Help Dogs Stuck Out in Cold Weather and Fulton County Animal Services Pets of the Week

Happy New Year from LifeLine Animal Project!  If your New Year’s resolution includes volunteering more this year, and if you’re interested in helping dogs and cats who are stuck out in the cold, then we have a great opportunity for you!

LifeLine will be holding a Volunteer Outreach Day this Saturday, January 11th, from noon to 4 p.m., at our shelter, 129 Lake St, Avondale Estates, GA 30002, where we’ll be building dog houses (both prefab and from scratch) for community outreach, and cat houses for feral caretakers.

If you can’t make our outreach day, there’s another way you can help.  With the weather so cold, LifeLine has been working hard to get pets better shelter, fixed, inside, and kept out of county shelters. With free food, free spay/neuter vouchers, dog houses and folding crates we're doing just that, but we need more items.  Please consider donating dog food (any brand, any size), used dog houses or bales of wheat straw to pack dog houses, so we can help pets while starting the transition conversation with owners.  All items can be dropped off at 129 Lake St, Avondale Estates, GA 30002, and will help save the lives of pets in Fulton and DeKalb counties!

Fulton County Animal Services Pets of the Week:  Ben and Willow

They are Free this Friday!

Ben is a beautiful, one-year-old Lab mix.  He is shy, but warms up quickly with some love and TLC.  Although he was probably mistreated, he is a very sweet and gentle soul who is eager to please.  And since Ben has been at the shelter for more than three weeks, he is FREE this FRIDAY!  This includes Ben’s neuter, vaccinations, microchip and more!  If you can’t make it on Friday, don’t worry.  All dogs are only $20 through January 18th!

Another dog who is free this Friday is wonderful Willow!  Willow is housetrained, great with other dogs and adores people!  She loves to cuddle, play and carry her toys around.  She is looking for a foster or forever home, and she is FREE this Friday.

If you’re interested in meeting Ben or Willow, please contact Kerry at 404-613-9157 or email her at: kmoyershorton@fultonanimalservices.com.

Managed by LifeLine Animal Project, Fulton County Animal Service’s mission is to provide a humane environment for Fulton County’s homeless pets while placing them into loving, permanent homes, and to end pet overpopulation by promoting spay/neuter, advocating for life-saving public policy, increasing public awareness of homeless pets and educating the community about responsible pet ownership.
