The German Shepherd shielded three children from the gunman's bullets and died shortly afterward.

A loyal German Shepherd gave his life to protect his family from what appears to be a road rage shooting incident in Atlanta on Black Friday, according to media reports.
The dog was riding in a Chevy Suburban with at least three children and their mother when an unidentified man opened fire in a strip mall parking lot off Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard, according to NBC News.
The gunman was reportedly shooting at another man following a road rage incident, however the shots struck the Suburban instead, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
