“The General Assembly, on 22 December 2005, identified solidarity as one of the fundamental and universal values that should underlie relations between peoples in the Twenty-first century, and in that regard decided to proclaim 20 December of each year International Human Solidarity Day” informed Sandeep Marwah President of World Peace And Research Foundation and Ambassador of International Human Rights Organization affiliated to United Nations.General Assembly also established the World Solidarity Fund, which was set up in February 2003 as a trust fund of the United Nations Development Program. Its objective is to eradicate poverty and promote human and social development in developing countries, in particular among the poorest segments of their populations.“I urge people from all nations, faiths, cultures, and traditions to work together in common cause to keep the promise made at the turn of millennium and leave a legacy of peace prosperity and sustainable progress for generations to come” said Ban Ki-moon Secretary General of United Nations.To mark respect to the day a poster on International Human Solidarity Day has been released at Marwah Studios by Sandeep Marwah accompanied by media person Suniel Parashar, Event Promoter Aman Khurana, Educationist Barnava Sarma and renowned singer Gurinder Seaghal.
