“Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable,” Carter said. “I don’t think he has any fixed [position] he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right-wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.”
Carter also praised Democrat Bernie Sanders for his campaign, but believes Hillary Clinton will eventually get the nomination.

Trump is ramping up his operations in Georgia. He has a rally scheduled in southwest Georgia on Thursday of this week, reports the AJC. On Tuesday, his campaign also announced offices in Brunswick, Evans (in middle Georgia) and Valdosta. His Atlanta office opened a few weeks ago.
Trump came in second in Monday night’s Iowa caucus to Cruz.
Georgia is part of the so-called SEC Primary on Tuesday, March 1, when the Peach State, along with Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia will hold their presidential primaries.
Georgians who want to vote now can do so by voting a mail-in absentee ballot.
‘In Georgia, we have a system for the public that allows voters to cast their ballot at their convenience,” said Secretary of State Brian Kemp in a press release. “This, paired with our Online Voter Registration website (OLVR), gives unprecedented access to the polls for Georgia voters.”
Georgia law allows for ‘no fault absentee voting’ so registered voters can request a mail-in absentee ballot from their local elections office for any reason up to 45 days ahead of a federal election date. Georgia’s Presidential Preference Primary is scheduled for March 1 as a part of the regional SEC Primary.
Early, in-person voting begins next Monday, Feb. 8, one day ahead of the New Hampshire primary.
