Late Afternoon Robbery Reported on 10th Street

Atlanta police are looking for two men who allegedly robbed a man late Thursday afternoon in Midtown.

The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street NW, according to an online crime alert from Georgia Tech.

The victim, who is not affiliated with the institute, told police he was walking toward Curran Street when he was approached by a male who asked to use his cell phone.

"The victim told the male that he did not have a cell phone," says the crime alert. "A second male approached the victim from behind and placed an object in the victim's back."

Police say the suspects made the man walk behind a nearby residence, where they stole his belongings. The pair then fled on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male who is about 6-feet tall and around 175 pounds. He has long dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a black-colored, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a white male who is about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and around 150 pounds. He is between 25 and 30 years old. He was last seen wearing a white and blue flannel shirt and blue jeans.
