Lesbian Lounge 'Bellissima' Closes

There's one less lesbian nightclub in Atlanta.

Bellissima, a lounge located in Midtown's Amsterdam Walk, closed for business Wednesday, according to The Georgia Voice. The business was to be sold but the deal fell through.

The lounge was dark Wednesday evening with a note on the door, saying: "Bellissima is closed and will not re-open at this location. Thank you for your support!"

Owner Anna Ragghianti also made an announcement online.

"I will be considering all options moving forward and will post any updates on this Bellissima Facebook Fan page," the owner wrote today in a post.

That leaves My Sister's Room in East Atlanta Village as the city's remaining lesbian nightclub, according to Project Q Atlanta. However, readers on site mentioned Phase One on Memorial Drive as another option.
