Life in Prison For Man Who Killed Two Atlanta Teens

The state had been seeking the death penalty for William Felts in the 2007 crime.

ATLANTA, GA -- A jury sentenced a man convicted of murdering two Atlanta teens to life in prison on Thursday.

The state had been seeking the death penalty against William Felts, who was found guilty last week on two counts of murder; aggravated assault with intent to rob; and kidnapping with bodily injury.

On April 5, 2007, after 6 pm, two teens, who were cousins, went missing after they left their home to walk to a neighborhood store and purchase snacks. The next day, the bodies of the 13-year-old female victim and 15-year-old male victim were found by the female victim’s mother in a wooded area behind Bethune Elementary School.
