LifeLine Animal Project Invites You to Spay it Forward and Meet our Fulton County Pets of the Week
Meet two young dogs who are both well behaved and affectionate and a gorgeous kitten who loves people. They can't wait to meet you!
February is National Spay & Neuter Month, and with over 90,000 animals ending up in Atlanta area shelters each year, spaying and neutering is still the most effective tool we have in reducing the homeless pet population problem. LifeLine Animal Project’s goal is to end the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals by the end of 2016 at our DeKalb and Fulton County shelters. To do so, we need everyone to help contribute to the solution, so LifeLine is offering a way “Spay it Forward,” by sponsoring the free spay or neuter of a dog or cat for a family in need.
Make a donation of $50 for a cat or $75 for a dog, and we’ll provide the surgery free of charge to someone who could not otherwise afford it for their pet. Interested in helping out? Click here to Spay it Forward! For more benefits and information on why to spay and neuter click here. We spay and neuter all our shelter pets before they go to their forever homes. Meet some below!

Our first Pet of the Week is a two-year-old cutie pie named Sasha. This 42 lb. girl is playful and extremely loving. She loves doing just about anything, as long as she’s with you! She is such a good girl that she has been chosen several times to go out as part of our “Dog for a Day” program, and after going on a long walk, she enjoyed having playtime before curling up next to our volunteer for a nap. Please consider taking Sasha home! Although she enjoys getting attention from just about anyone, she’ll be happiest to have one family to play with her, love her, and give her belly rubs every day.
Our next pet is an adorable one-year-old girl named Cinnamon who weighs 42 lbs. and came to the shelter in rough shape. When we found Cinnamon, she was very scared and had open sores on her front legs. After one month at the shelter, her sores are healed, and she is a total sweetheart with staff, volunteers and her kennelmates. She has also been chosen as a “Dog for a Day” and does great on walks and in the car. Now she needs a happy ending. Are you the caring person who will love her and make her part of your family?

Our final Pet of the week, we have an absolutely gorgeous, six-month-old kitten named Jackie. Weighing in at only 3 lbs., this beautiful kitty looks like she is part Siamese, but has long, soft fur. She is very social and enjoys playing with toys and taking long naps. She has a few kitty friends in our Cat Colony room, but she really loves people, especially when they pet her! Come take this beautiful baby home today.
