Meet two sweet girls: one who was mistreated and is ready to be loved, and another who tosses toys into the air and plays chase by herself.
Hi, I’m Demeter. I’m a sweet one-year-old girl who weighs 33 lbs. I came into the shelter in bad shape. I was way too skinny, had sores all over my body, and I hadn’t been treated kindly. I was trying to take care of myself, but it was very hard, and I was suffering. When I got here I was scared of people, but I’m learning that not all humans are bad, and that the people here are nice and won’t hurt me. Sometimes, they take me out in the play yard, let me roam around and tell me what a good girl I am. That makes me feel relaxed and happy. The staff says I will make a wonderful companion and be super loyal to anyone who loves me. If you adopt me this month, you’ll pay only $25, including my spay, vaccines and microchip. I hope someone will come show me what it feels like to be loved.
My name is Missy, and I am three-year’s-old, weigh 40 lbs. and am a really good girl. When my kennel mates argue, I go to the other side of the kennel, because I don’t like fighting. I try to keep them from arguing by being super sweet to all of them, since we are all in this together. When guests walk by, I just sit pretty so they can see how nice and calm I am, but for some reason they haven't picked me yet. The staff loves me and says they can’t understand why I’ve been here so long. My favorite thing to do is to go outside and play with squeaky toys! I love to toss one in the air and chase it around. I can play all by myself, but I also share nicely if you or another dog want to play with me. Can you come and visit me at the shelter? I love having visitors who take me outside. And if you decide to adopt me, you’ll pay only $25, and since I’m already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, I can leave with you today!
