Man Found Dead Near Five Points MARTA Station

Atlanta police believe the man's death was not due to foul play, possibly related to the cold weather in the city overnight.

A man was found dead at a bus station across the street from the Five Points MARTA station on Wednesday morning, Atlanta police confirm.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the unidentified man was discovered just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Broad and Alabama streets. Atlanta police spokesman Greg Lyon told Patch that officers believe the man’s death was from natural causes and not the result of foul play.

The AJC reports that the man’s death could be related to last night’s bitterly cold weather, but the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office will need to complete an autopsy to discover the cause of death.
