The man's body was discovered by someone walking to work across from Antioch Baptist Church North.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police are investigating the death of a man who was found shot Wednesday morning on Northside Drive near a church.
A passerby who was walking to work at about 4:34 a.m. discovered the man's body on the sidewalk alongside Northside Drive, across from Antioch Baptist Church North at Cameron M. Alexander Boulevard and called police. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the head, said police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Bender.
Later Tuesday morning, Bender said evidence at the scene is consistent with an apparent suicide. Police are not yet identifying the victim, but say he was 27 years old.
