Man Struck, Killed by MARTA Train at Georgia State Station

A man was struck and killed by a MARTA train at the Georgia State University station after accessing an off-limits portion of the facility and making his way onto the tracks, WSB-TV reports.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, MARTA authorities told the station. Investigators say that the man entered an area of the station that is usually sealed off by fences.
The station is shut down while the investigation progresses. MARTA is providing bus transfers to commuters who need to use the station.
