The alliance released its monthly construction report this week, which included updates on a litany of projects underway or soon to begin throughout the area.
One of the big projects in the works this month is the extension of the 10th Street Cycle Track between Charles Allen Drive and Myrtle Street. The project will also paint shared lane markings on Piedmont Road to the existing track and install a pedestrian and cyclist-friendly crosswalk at Myrtle Street. The alliance says the project should be substantially complete by mid-June.

Sidewalk repairs will also continue during the month of May, the alliance says. So far, work crews have tackled some 30 problem spots on Peachtree Street and completed repairs on sections of Spring Street, Peachtree Walk, Crescent Avenue, Juniper Street, and 11th Street. Work will soon begin on West Peachtree and Spring streets.
