The business shut down over the weekend and will not re-open for the spring season, a spokesperson said.

Midtown residents who are dreaming of slurping down a delicious Italian ice concoction during the coming spring and summer months will have one less outlet for their desires.

According to What Now Atlanta, Rita’s Italian Ice closed on Sunday and will not open for the spring season. A company spokesperson told the media outlet that the franchise at 931 Monroe Drive has been shut down permanently.
