Midtown Package Thief Caught on Surveillance Camera
The packages were stolen only two hours after they had been delivered, a neighborhood watch group says.
A Midtown neighborhood watch group is searching for a man who was seen on camera stealing packages delivered to a home in the area.
According to the Midtown-Ponce Security Alliance (MPSA), the theft occurred on Friday afternoon at a home in the 5th and Argonne area. A surveillance camera posted on the porch of the home captured the man ringing the doorbell, peering inside the front windows to see if anyone was home, then taking the packages off of the porch and walking away.
MPSA describes the man as standing 5’10” to 6’ tall and having a slender build. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, blue jeans, a black backpack, and a long-sleeved black shirt or turtleneck.

Anyone with information that can lead police to this man is urged to call 911 and reference case #143481713, MPSA says.
