Midtown Public Safety Group Announces Meeting

The meeting will include briefings from security and law enforcement personnel and will discuss a new security camera initiative for Midtown

The Midtown-Ponce Security Alliance (MPSA), a neighborhood watch group, will host a special public safety meeting next week which is intended to update area residents on the latest crime trends and generate discussion on a new initiative.

The public safety meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Mary Mac’s at 224 Ponce de Leon Ave., the MPSA Facebook page announced Monday.

Representatives from the Atlanta Police Department’s Zone 5, which covers the Midtown area, will provide an update on crime and public safety. They will be joined by members of Midtown Blue and the MPSA’s own patrol. Each organization will provide its own unique information to the picture.

Additionally, the MPSA will hold a discussion on a new initiative to install more security cameras in the Midtown area. MPSA will also share holiday safety tips during the meeting.
