Midtown Race for MAC Names Sponsors
Midtown Assistance Center Celebrates 30 Years, Supports Working Poor
The Midtown Assistance Center (MAC) announced The Midtown Race for MAC, set for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2016, open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities, in Piedmont Park. Entry fee is $30.
In 2016, MAC celebrates its 30th anniversary of supporting the working poor in the Midtown community. The race/walk will raise money for MAC’s mission of preventing homelessness and hunger for working families.
The Midtown Race for MAC is proud to announce the sponsors. Platinum Sponsor is the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. Gold Sponsors include Alston+Bird, Georgia Power, Sutherland, Kauffman Tire and MAC’s Beer and Wine. Silver Sponsors are SunTrust Bank, Colliers International, Consolidated Planning Corporation, Orpheus Brewing, Warren Averett CPAs and Advisors. In its third year, the Midtown Race for MAC expects to draw hundreds of runners from Atlanta and surrounding areas. Registration is open now at www.active.com or at Phidippides Ansley Mall.
MAC is a nonprofit, interfaith organization whose mission is to provide emergency assistance to low income working Atlantans. MAC’s goal is to help prevent homelessness and hunger during periods of crisis. MAC has the support of eleven congregations as well as the Midtown Alliance, many businesses, foundations, individuals, government entities and volunteers. The members of MAC’s Board and its 250 volunteers represent a cross section of the Atlanta community.
