According to WSB-TV, security guard Dexter Washington fired four shots at the car as it was leaving Mary Mac’s Tea Room around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police told WSB-TV that Washington claimed the car struck him as the driver attempted to exit the parking lot in the wrong direction. Washington then said he followed the car to the nearby traffic light, and opened fire when the driver hit him again.
Security cameras at the traffic light showed that the driver had actually attempted to drive around Washington, at which time the guard opened fire. WSB-TV reports that Washington has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
