Hundreds of locals joined jugglers, clowns, musicians, food trucks, and gorgeous weather to celebrate the 40th anniversary of one of Atlanta’s most famous public fundraising campaigns.

In 1974, the future of the legendary Fox Theatre was uncertain. Citizens rallied to “Save the Fox” and raised $3 million to restore the beloved Atlanta landmark, resulting in the Fox’s triumphant return in 1975 as an opulent performance venue.

Sunday’s “Rock the Block” party celebrated the revival of the historic theater and treated visitors to tours of the facility, live music, plenty of food trucks, and lots of shopping opportunities.
