The Midtown Development Review Committee saw the first concepts on Tuesday of a two-story store at the corner of 14th and West Peachtree streets. Apart from the retail space, the project calls for the construction of a three-story parking deck with space for nearly 300 vehicles.

Atlanta Business Chronicle says the store itself could contain a 5,000 sq. ft. pub and a 4,000 sq. ft. cooking school.

The Whole Foods project is slated to be the second phase of The Related Group’s project to construct a pair of residential towers on the site.

A spokesman for Phillips Partnership told the review committee on Wednesday that the store was designed to fit into the walkable, “urban” feel of its Midtown locale and pushed Whole Foods to be a bit more aggressive with the design, Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.
