Nearby: Police Investigating Possible Homicide in East Atlanta

A woman was found dead at the complex on Wednesday morning.

Atlanta Police Department homicide detectives are canvassing an apartment complex in East Atlanta trying to explain what killed a woman who they believe lived at the site.

Sgt. Greg Lyon told Patch that police were summoned to an apartment complex in the 300 block of Boulevard Northeast at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday in response to a deceased person call. Officers found a woman dead at the scene. Her cause of death will be determined through an autopsy, but investigators are not ruling out foul play.

Lyon told Patch that investigators believe the woman was a resident at the apartment complex, but are not releasing any more information at present.
