New Chick-fil-A Coming to Midtown, Poncey Highland District
The restaurant will be located next to the Clermont Hotel in the spot now home to Dugan's.

ATLANTA, GA -- A new, freestanding Chick-fil-A is coming to the heart of Midtown.
The store will be at 777 Ponce de Leon Avenue, on the site now occupied by Dugan's and next to the Clermont Hotel. According to its Loopnet listing, "This Chick-fil-A is immediately adjacent to the most dynamic new and upcoming projects in Atlanta, including Ponce City Market, the BeltLine, the Beltline Kroger, Krog Street Market, Clermont Hotel Midtown Place, and more."
The Clermont Hotel is also undergoing a major, $5 million renovation, reports WhatNowAtlanta. A permit was filed with the city of Atlanta earlier this week to preserve the 88,000 square-foot hotel.

The hotel was purchased in 2012 for 42.5 million by developer Ethan Orley and a team of investors, with plans to turn the site into a boutique hotel. The hotel was shuttered in 2009.
Chick-fil-A has more than 1,900 locations in 42 states, and has seen 47 consecutive years of positive sales growth. In 2014, the company led the entire fast food industry in average sales per restaurant, outperforming McDonald's, KFC and every pizza brand in the nation.
