Taught by Matthew Myers writer of Stars on the Highway and 2013 winner of the Essential Play writing Award for his play Stray Dogs, and his musical, Spoon (music with Tony Larkin) was voted best play by the readers of Creative Loafing in 2010. Stars on the Highway is the story of Hank Ford, a 1950s country star in the making, and his partner Lyle Evers. Lyle and Hank are trying to navigate the treacherous world of country music, write hit records and keep the exact nature of their relationship out of the lime light. SOTH explores the price of fame and the baggage that follows it, all to a toe-tapping sound track of vintage country music.
