Northside Drive Murder: Man Convicted of Strangling an Acquaintance
The murder took place on Jan. 30 outside a Northside Drive hotel.

ATLANTA, GA -- A man has been found guilty of stranging an acquaintance to death outside a Northside Drive hotel room in January 2015.
Richard Williams was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Cory Robinson.
Prosecutors said Williams strangled Robinson in a hotel room that Robinson had rented on Northside Drive. Robinson’s body was found by a hotel housekeeper on the morning of January 31, 2015.

Williams was identified by security video at the hotel, DNA evidence, as well as witness identification. Security video shows Williams leaving Robinson’s hotel room just minutes before his body was found. Forensic testing found William’s DNA on Robinson and witnesses stated that Williams was with Robinson the evening before his body was found.
