Old Fourth Ward Named One of Best Neighborhoods in Georgia
The neighborhood was praised by Georgia Places for its large slate of renovations and high percentage of young professionals.

Georgia Places, a real estate blog that focuses on the state, has named its seven most desirable neighborhoods in the metro Atlanta area, and the Old Fourth Ward has made the list.
Blogger Jon Fritz cites the Old Fourth Ward’s balance between eclectic, state of the art buildings, historic charm, and strong African-American heritage and influence.
“Though the neighborhood still boasts many historic highlights, like the Ebenezer Baptist Church and Sweet Auburn Historic District, it’s also brimming with new energy,” Fritz wrote.

The diverse neighborhood was also praised for the Historic Fourth Ward Park, which was completed in 2011. Other factors that went into Fritz’s decision included the high percentage of small families and young professionals who have decided to move to the area.
