One Arrest Made In Midtown Murder Of Homeless Man
Moses Cooper was attacked while he was sleeping along Peachtree Street earlier this month.
ATLANTA, GA -- Police have arrested one person in connection with the murder of a homeless man earlier this month. Michael Johnson was arrested Monday morning without incident in connection with the death of Moses Cooper, whose body was found near 805 Peachtree Street in Midtown on Sept. 5, 2018. Johnson was taken into custody without incident.
Early on the morning of Sept. 5, officers were flagged down regarding an injured male where they found Cooper's body. Cooper appeared to have been assaulted while he was sleeping, and had sustained a significant head injury. He was declared dead on the scene.
