"Point of View on the Street Corner" by Association Manifeste

Contemporary Dance Performance by Asociation Manifeste presented by the Consulate of France in Atlanta.

“Point de vue sur coin de rue” (Point of View On the Street Corner), started in Cuba in 2010, is an evolving piece which continues this year with “The American Corner“, an evocative and vibrant vision of American streets through the eyes of world travelers. Adding new elements to their previous France-Atlanta performance, Isabelle and Adolfo present different perspectives on two distinct realities: within the same space, an easily identifiable and tangible world offers a stark contrast with a virtual one, unknown to the audience. Through bold moves and surprising encounters begins a journey to the four corners of the world through the streets of France, Africa or Cuba…

The Toulouse-based company – known for their performances in the public space – was built around the idea of a cultural exchange between two performers, Isabelle Saulle and Adolfo Vargas. Drawing from their personal experience and years of training with some of France’s best choreographers, they created their own company in 2001 to explore and share their understanding of the world.

WHEN: Saturday, October 18 & Sunday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: Corner of Forsyth St. & Poplar St. (Healey Building), Atlanta GA 30303
