Police Say Fired Employee Left Suspicious Package Outside Midtown Building

Midtown traffic was tied up for hours while a bomb squad investigated the package.

ATLANTA, GA -- The man who left a package outside a Midtown office building Tuesday morning -- which tied up traffic in the area for hours while police investigated -- has been arrested.

Scott Clayton, who had been fired by Streamline Health previously and then made threats via social media, left the package outside the Promenade office building, police have told WSB-TV.

The package was reported to police as being suspicious, causing law enforcement agencies to block a portion of 15th Street and Peachtree while a bomb squad was brought it.
