Poll: Should Georgia Tech President Resign?

One Cobb County lawmaker says Bud Peterson should be removed because of how the school handles sexual assault complaints.

ATLANTA, GA -- One of the most influential legislators in Georgia is calling for the ouster of Georgia Tech president Bud Peterson.

State Rep. Earl Ehrhart (R-Powder Springs) has long been a critic of how the school has been handling accusations of sexual assault. Now, Ehrhart, who chairs the House appropriations subcommittee on higher education, says Peterson should resign, reports the AJC.

Ehrhart also tells the Marietta Daily Journal that Peterson's contract comes up for renewal in April, and that the Board of Regents and Georgia Tech alumni are "frustrated with him."
