Portion of Piedmont Avenue Closing Sunday, Monday

From the City of Atlanta

Piedmont Avenue, between Ralph McGill Boulevard and Pine Street will be closed temporarily beginning on Sunday, June 14 at 6:00 a.m. and will remain closed to traffic and pedestrians until Monday, June 15 at 11:59 p.m.

To notify commuters and residents of the closure, Variable Message Boards (VMS) will be placed at the corners of Peachtree Street and Ralph McGill Boulevard, Central Park Place and Ralph McGill Boulevard, and Baker Street and Piedmont Avenue.

The following detour route will be posted to re-direct vehicular traffic around the affected area:

Northbound Piedmont Avenue NE

· Turn right onto Ralph McGill Blvd. NE to Central Park Pl. NE

· Turn left onto Central Park Pl. NE to Pine St. NE

· Turn left onto Pine St. NE back to Piedmont Ave. NE

OR

· Turn left onto Ralph McGill Blvd. NE to Peachtree St. NE

· Turn right onto Peachtree St. NE to Pine St. NE

· Turn right onto Pine St. NE back to Piedmont Ave. NE
