Property Manager Accused of Pocketing $50K from Midtown HOA

The man is also accused of stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from another HOA in DeKalb County.

A Midtown condominium’s homeowners’ association (HOA) has accused a Chamblee property manager of stealing $50,000 from them while he was in charge of the property, WSB-TV reports.

Michael Sisson faces charges of theft in both Chamblee and Dunwoody for his alleged role in stealing $180,000 from various homeowners’ associations he was managing property for. One of the alleged thefts happened in Midtown at the One South Prado condominiums near Piedmont Park.

WSB-TV spoke with a representative of the One South Prado HOA and learned that Sisson had run the property for several years without incident, but was fired approximately six months ago. When Sisson did not turn over the HOA’s money, he was sued for access to his financial records regarding One South Prado. Once the HOA had possession of Sissons’ records, it realized they were allegedly short by approximately $50,000.
