Prowling Suspect Loses Pants in Police Chase
Police were investigating a rash of car break-ins in Midtown and Virginia Highland when they came upon the suspect.

ATLANTA, GA — Police apprehended a suspected prowler while they were investigating a series of car break-ins throughout several intown Atlanta neighborhoods.
DeClarence McGee, 26, was found near a Greenwood Avenue apartment complex late Tuesday night, according to the AJC, without his pants. Police believe he lost them in an area at Yorkshire and Monroe Drive where three to four suspects were allegedly breaking into cars.
McGee wasn't able to tell police how he got to the apartments or where or how he lost his pants.

The break-ins had been reported near Monroe Drive, Saint Charles Avenue, Euclid Avenue, Ponce de Leon Avenue and Waverly Way. Police were chasing the suspects in a stolen Chrysler Pacifica when the suspects crashed into a rock wall near Greenwood and Ponce.
In the car, police found several cell phones, tools and book bags.

As the suspects fanned out, they reportedly broke into about 70 cars, smashing windows.
