PRSA Georgia Chapter August Luncheon To Feature Interactive Media Panel Preceded By Social Media Seminar

(ATLANTA) - The Public Relations Society of America Georgia Chapter (prsageorgia.org) will host its popular annual media panel, preceded by a pre-luncheon seminar presented by Sparkloft Media, on August 11 at Maggiano's in Buckhead. This year's media panelists include Jonathan Landrum, business writer for the Associated Press; Elissa Rosen, lifestyle writer for People Magazine; Paul Miliken, feature reporter for Fox 5 Good Day Atlanta; Adam Kincaid, culture writer for Bitter Southerner and AJC.com; and Sean Powers, reporter for Georgia Public Broadcasting.

Annual Media Panel: Inside the "Pitch Tank" with AP, People Magazine and More - During the first ever "Pitch Tank," seven of the city's top pitchers will test their skills in front of a panel of five intrepid journalists representing bureaus, broadcasts and blogs.

Luncheon guests will hear from top editors, hosts and writers about what makes an effective pitch as the panelists provide candid, constructive feedback to participants. Attendees will have an opportunity to take part in the interactive experience and share their story ideas with top influencers through a "blind pitching" round.

Registration and networking begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the program from noon to 1:15 p.m.

Pre-Luncheon Seminar: Snapchat, Periscope and Facebook Live! Applying the New World of Social Media

Sparkloft Media will share key insights from campaigns around the world to illustrate the huge opportunities social data mining and social advertising bring, as well as offer insights into how trends like influencer marketing and emerging social platforms can be implemented to enhance PR efforts. Hear case studies and examples from WB Studio Tours London, South African Airways, Alaska Airlines, Visit Santa Barbara, Discover Atlanta, Visit Montana and more.

Registration beings at 9:15 a.m., followed by the seminar from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

PRSA Georgia (prsageorgia.org), the second-largest local chapter in the national society, consists of more than 900 professionals throughout Georgia. Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities for its members.
