PRSA GEORGIA CHAPTER HOSTS SEMINAR AND LUNCHEON ON DEVELOPING CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS PLANS FEATURING EMORY UNIVERSITY EXPERT

The Public Relations Society of America Georgia Chapter (prsageorgia.org) will host two events on Thursday, March 10 that address how organizations can best develop crisis communications plans. Representatives from Emory Woodruff Health Sciences and Emory Healthcare will share lessons learned from the Ebola outbreak in 2014 and best practices now in use as the Zika virus outbreak continues to make headlines. The morning seminar will be followed by a luncheon with limited seating for both sessions. Both events will take place at Maggiano’s Buckhead.

With the new Zika virus outbreak capturing the world’s attention, best practices from the last worldwide health scare, Ebola, provide an excellent guide for developing crisis communications plans. Experts including Vincent J. Dollard, APR, Associate Vice President, Communications, Woodruff Health Sciences and Wendy Darling, Web/IT Communications Manger, Emory Health Sciences will share the fascinating Ebola story and how crisis communications lessons are applicable to practitioners in every industry.

Pre-Luncheon Seminar: Lessons from Ebola – The Top Ten Things to Have in your Crisis Plan
