Reward in Shooting of Atlanta Rapper's Father Increases

The family of an Atlanta rapper is hoping that someone will come forward and provide information on the September shooting of the rapper’s father inside his barber shop.

According to WSB-TV, the reward for information in the shooting of Cory Lamar, the father of DeQuarius Lamar, better known as Rich Homie Quan. Someone walked into his barber shop on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway and shot him six times before escaping in a vehicle police believe was a black Honda Accord.

A family member told WSB-TV that the elder Lamar now has to eat through a tube and must suffer through years of surgeries and rehabilitative therapy due to the attack.

Rumors have arisen that claim that the shooting of Cory Lamar was part of a beef between Rich Homie Quan and another rapper, but police have not confirmed or denied this rumor.
