SCAD FASH REEL to REAL: Coco Before Chanel

French biopic chronicles the story of renowned French designer Coco Chanel

Enjoy a viewing of “Coco Before Chanel,” an award-winning French biopic, chronicles the story of renowned French designer Coco Chanel, on Thursday, April 7, at SCAD FASH. The screening will begin promptly at 6 p.m. The film tells the story of Coco Chanel from the orphanage where she was abandoned as a child to the height of her career as a leader in the fashion world.

The film is part of the university's Thursday film series, featuring fashion documentaries relating to the current exhibitions and will be introduced by Salvatore Lo Sicco, SCAD School of Fashion professor.

Located at 1600 Peachtree St. NW, SCAD Atlanta's SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film features a state-of-the-art media lounge for educational film and digital presentations and a new grand entrance and lobby. Film screenings are free for museum members and SCAD Card holders and are open to the public with the cost of SCAD FASH admission. A 10-minute discussion led by SCAD faculty and staff will precede each screening, beginning at 6 p.m.
