Scofflaw Brewing Company to Launch This Spring
The company aims to introduce a unique line of craft beers in Atlanta.

ATLANTA, GA -- Kicking off with a series of tap takeover events at local restaurants and bars, Scofflaw Brewing Co. is expected to officially hit the market in June.
Scofflaw Brewing Co. is the brainchild of owner Matt Shirah, who enlisted the help of brewmaster and co-founder Travis Herman.
“A couple of years ago, Travis and I came together – like east-meets-west – with the idea of creating our own brand and bringing something new to the region,” said Shirah. “In order to discover and define our brand, we locked ourselves into a basement with thousands of beers, a one barrel brewhouse and a microscope. After years of thinking, collaborating and arguing, Scofflaw was born and our brews will have plenty of stories to tell.”

Located in northwest Atlanta’s Bolton neighborhood, Scofflaw Brewing Co. has an 18,419 square-foot production facility and soon-to-open tasting room. Shirah and Herman have been working on research and development for the past 18 months, using a laboratory to cultivate several local yeast strains. These efforts have yielded several tropical and hop forward IPAs, a pale ale and an imperial barrel-aged stout.
Prior to Scofflaw, Shirah was a corporate turnaround executive. Herman left behind a career in the pharmaceutical industry to attend brewing school at the University of California.
