Second Annual Festivity + Trees Returns To Midtown Atlanta
Over the next two weeks, 25 local artists will set up shop inside Colony Square and paint eight-foot-tall Christmas trees.

From Colony Square: This holiday season, Colony Square will deck the halls with its second annual Festivity + Trees, an artistic spectacle that will transform The Square and its Peachtree Street corridor into a whimsical winter wonderland with 45 hand painted trees. Over the next two weeks, 25 local artists will set up shop inside Colony Square and paint eight-foot-tall Christmas trees that will join the 20 hand painted trees from last year. The collection of trees will be officially unveiled at the Festivity + Trees Reveal Party on Dec. 1.
From Nov. 9 through Nov. 25, the artists will take over an empty retail space in The Atrium, near Colony Square’s Concierge Desk. The public is invited to visit the space and observe the artists as they transform their blank wooden tree canvases into holiday masterpieces. During Colony Square’s regular operating hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., the artists will be on-site working on their trees and the public is invited to stop by to catch the design process in motion. Festivity + Trees gives artists the freedom to create original works inspired by Colony Square’s theme: “The Art of Modern Life.”
“Colony Square is delighted to host the second annual Festivity + Trees and to give local Atlanta artists a chance to come together and make Midtown a vivid holiday destination,” said Sara Carville, marketing coordinator at Colony Square. “We love to create opportunities for unique, art-inspired experiences, and Festivity + Trees is the perfect way for us to kick off another magical holiday season at the heart of Midtown Atlanta.”
