Seven Attorneys from Atlanta-based Fisher & Phillips Listed in ‘Georgia Super Lawyers 2014’ and Three Named ‘Rising Stars’

Seven attorneys with Atlanta-based Fisher & Phillips LLP are listed in Georgia Super Lawyers 2014, while three of the firm’s attorneys have been named Rising Stars.

D. Albert Brannen, Michael Elkon, Tex McIver, Thomas Rebel, Joseph Shelton and John Thompson are listed in Georgia Super Lawyers 2014 for their work in employment and labor law and Kim Thompson was included for her work in immigration law.

The three attorneys listed as “Rising Stars” are Tiffani Hiudt Casey, Matthew Simpson and Terri Stewart, all noted for employment and labor law.

Georgia’s top lawyers are chosen by their peers and through independent research. Attorneys are selected on an annual basis using a comprehensive, multi-phase rating process. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Rising Stars undergo the same rigorous selection process, but are not evaluated by peers in their practice area. A candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. 

The top 5 percent of Georgia attorneys are chosen to be included in Super Lawyers, Atlanta magazine and Georgia Super Lawyers, while 2.5 percent of the state’s lawyers are named Rising Stars. The list is published in March and is designed to serve as a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for clients seeking legal counsel.
