Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Atlanta

A cluster of storms producing damaging wind and hail is approaching from the west at 20 mph.

Atlanta is under the threat of severe weather, according to meteorologists.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Atlanta until 4 p.m. Forecasters expect hail and damaging winds.

A cluster of storms was reported over Lithonia or seven miles west of Conyers at 3:44 p.m. and is reportedly heading east at 20 mph.

AT 344 PM EDT...A CLUSTER OF SEVERAL SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
OVER LITHONIA...OR 7 MILES WEST OF CONYERS...MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH.

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.
