Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Midtown

Atlanta could be in for quarter-sized hail and damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the City of Atlanta.

According to the NWS, the warning indicates the possibility of 60 mph winds, quarter-sized hail, and damaging high winds.

The warning will expire at 5:15 p.m., as the storm is traveling northeast from a line between East Point and McDonough at a speed of 45 mph.
