Summer is the best time for recovery
Repair food and body image struggles over the summer.
Encourage students to repair their food and body image struggles over the summer. Many students contact ACE asking, “I have two weeks until school starts. Can you help me recover before then?”
Well no, not very much.
Advise them to immediately seek treatment and make recovery the main priority of summer.
ACE offers a Jump Start Recovery Program for students who want to strengthen or recommit to their recovery plan. Many students find themselves picking up or slipping back into unhealthy habits and thought patterns concerning food and body image. The summer break can be an ideal time to learn or refresh those essential “making headway skills” that could keep them safe and healthy moving forward.
