Summer is a Cool Time to Adopt a New Pet During LifeLine Animal Project's Beat the Heat Promotion! And Meet LifeLine's Fulton County Shelter Pets of the Week
Adopt a pet for no cost, or take advantage of our low cost vaccine clinic this weekend!
Step out of the heat and do something cool! Throughout June, all dogs and cats six months and over may be adopted for FREE at any of LifeLine Animal Project’s shelters, including Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS), DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS), LifeLine’s Dog House and Kitty Motel and LifeLine’s Cat Adoption Center. All dogs must weigh at least 25 lbs. to qualify for this special.
Adopters will receive a dog or cat that has been spayed or neutered, has had all vaccines and is microchipped – a $250 value – for no cost. Adoption counselors will be on hand to ensure the animals are being placed in good homes.
LifeLine is also offering another cool deal this weekend: our bi-monthly low-cost shot clinic. Come to our Southside/Airport clinic, located at 2533 Sullivan Road College Park, GA 30337, this Saturday, June 13th, from 10am-1pm for vaccinations, heartworm or combo testing, microchipping, and more. No appointment is needed, and we are offering $10 off all package prices for pets that are already fixed or $10 off a spay/neuter surgery scheduled at the event, so spread the word!

Elly (pictured in her pink dress) is a lotta girl to love! The staff named her Elly (short for elephant), because she lumbers around like an elephant and is a true gentle giant. She has a precious face, making it hard to resist walking by her without giving her a hug. If you’re looking for a low-energy dog who will remain calm no matter what is going on around her, then Elly is your girl. She currently lives in a staff member’s office and is housebroken.
Our next Pet of the Week is nine-month-old Xaiver. Although he is still a puppy and is very active and playful, Xaiver is also a gently boy who is great with other dogs. He has already been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, so he can leave with you today.
Max is a three-year-old boy whose owner never reclaimed him. We can’t understand why (neither can he), since he is a great dog who is very mellow and gets along well with others. This handsome boy loves to go for walks, lay by your side and play with other dogs.
Finally, meet our kitty of the week, a beautiful girl with long soft fur named Daffy. Daffy is about twelve year’s old and is a gentle and calm cat. She loves to lay on visitor’s laps, look out the window and be pet. Daffy has an adorable mustache and is affectionate too.
To meet Elly, Xaiver, Max or Daffy and take advantage of a FREE pet adoption, drop by the shelter, email adoptions@fultonanimalservices.com or call 404-613-0357.
