A fraternity on Georgia Tech’s campus is fighting allegations that some of its members shouted racial slurs at black students from the frat house.
According to a victim interviewed by WSB-TV, members of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity made obscene gestures towards her and called her the N-word last week. On Thursday, students silently protested outside the frat house in response to the alleged incident.

Students involved in the protest tell the news organization that they too have been the target of racial slurs from fraternity members, though none could provide hard proof of such incidents occurring. The students say the incidents have made them feel unsafe on campus.
Phi Delta Theta’s national organization says an initial investigation has not corroborated the information given by the victims.
