Tech Professor Allegedly Used School Money to Benefit His Private Company
Joy Laskar is also accused of using school resources to run his business.

A former professor at Georgia Tech was indicted on two counts of racketeering for allegedly bilking the school out of $1 million dollars for the benefit of his private company.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Joy Laskar is accused of using Georgia Tech funds to purchase $1 million worth of microchips that he then used for his private company. Laskar also stands accused of using school resources to run his business.
Laskar is no stranger to criminal charges; he was sent to jail in 2010 for additional racketeering charges related to his alleged shady business practices.
