Tee Off FORE Education

ATLANTA, GA - Last week the Atlanta Dental Center sponsored the Decatur Adventist Junior Academy during their annual “Tee Up FORE Kids” golf tournament. The tournament was well attended and four of ADC’s (Atlanta Dental Center’s) own patients teamed up to finish 5 strokes under par for the entire course.

Education has always been a very high priority for ADC. The clinical team here at ADC routinely completes double the minimum requirements for Continuing Education each year, and the office schedule has a weekly time devoted to the education of its staff. Further, many patients comment that they learn more about their oral health and condition in their first visit at ADC than ever before.

The golf tournament is part of a plan to raise money for new facilities at DAJA (Decatur Adventist Junior Academy). The 20-year-old school looks to add a new STEM-Ready Science Lab and a State-of-the-Art Mac Computer Lab.

The ADC golf team actually consisted of a group of Emergency Room Physicians who are all patients of ADC’s Dr. Jessica Lee D.D.S. Hailing from the most well-known names in Atlanta’s medical community such as Emory Hospital, Atlanta Medical Center and the prodigious DeKalb Medical Center, the doctors are firm believers in education themselves. They were more than happy to show their support.

“These new facilities will help students grow mentally and better prepare themselves for the challenges of the future,” said Dr. Lee. “It is these very subjects of education that helped create my strong desire to dedicate my life to helping people with their smiles and oral health. It is the sciences that make this possible today.”

The Decatur Adventist Junior Academy exists to educate the hearts, minds, and souls of students in a challenging, stimulating, nurturing setting. DAJA views the processes of growing, learning, and maturing as cooperative. The school acts as an educational resource and advocate for families. The school strives to impart a sense of enjoyment in teaching, learning, and the pursuit of excellence.

The Atlanta Dental Center is proud to support such a worthy cause and joins the ranks with its patients in spreading knowledge and education in the community.
