Teen Who Stabbed Grandmother Sentenced to 25 Years

Charles Price pled guilty earlier this week to killing his grandmother back in 2014 during an argument over a TV.

ATLANTA, GA -- The teenager who stabbed his grandmother to death almost two years ago has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

According to Fulton County D.A. Paul Howard, Charles Price III was 14 when he stabbed 76-year-old Mary Price more than 50 times on April 18, 2014.

Price then went to Therrell High School wearing blood-soaked clothes. Howard said that “When teachers questioned Price, he stated ‘I killed it.’ ”

Price and his grandmother got into an argument over a DVR, according to Christian Today. Medical reports say Mary Price died of multiple stab wounds and trauma.

Police also found two broken knives when they arrived at Mary Price’s Fairburn residence.

Charles Price is expected to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and possession of a knife during commission of a felony. Price’s sentence of 25 years requires him to serve 20 of those years with the balance on probation.
