None of us at AtlantaScoop have admittedly ever been to a Rollergirl competition, but I HAVE had the chance to meet and see a number of the athletes during the screening of one of their documentary films at Atlanta Film Festival in recent years.
From what I understand, these girls are badass and come with names like, “Belle of the Brawl”. They certainly must have a whole lot of guts to fly around a track while crashing into one another.
Every month from February to August 2014, the teams gather at a space along Ponce de Leon Avenue for a night of fun, laughter, hits, and fits. There are 2 games per night, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
